MotorSport New Zealand is entering an exciting new chapter, and we’re looking for talented people to be part of it.

Following a strategic restructure, we’re recruiting across six roles – from commercial leadership and technical leads, to marketing, operations, and front-line member services. Whether you come from inside the motorsport world or bring skills from another industry entirely, we’d love to hear from you.

Commercial Manager | 9-month fixed-term contract

This is a high-energy, front-line commercial role reporting directly to the CEO. You’ll design sponsorship and partnership packages, build a pipeline of new revenue opportunities, and help shape the commercial future of motorsport in New Zealand. If you thrive on building relationships, closing deals, and working with purpose, this could be the role for you. Previous motorsport experience is not required — what matters is your commercial instinct and drive.

Sporting Advisor | 12-month fixed-term contract

Our Sporting team sits at the heart of the sport, working alongside clubs, event organisers, volunteers, and officials to make motorsport happen across the country. As Sporting Advisor, you’ll process permit and event applications, provide advice and support to clubs and organisers, assist with the development of sporting regulations, and help deliver training and development programmes for officials and volunteers. One day you could be processing permits; the next you could be helping to solve a problem that improves how events are run nationwide.

Communications & Marketing Manager | Permanent, full-time

MotorSport New Zealand is building stronger connections with our clubs, competitors, licence holders, sponsors, and fans — and we need someone to lead that charge. In this senior role you’ll drive our communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement strategy, grow our digital presence across social media, content, and web channels, and launch new programmes and initiatives to grow participation in the sport. You’ll work directly with the CEO and have the opportunity to leave your mark on a nationally recognised sporting organisation.

Operations Manager | Permanent, full-time

We’re on an exciting journey of growth and improvement, and we’re looking for an Operations Manager to help drive it. In this role you’ll lead customer service and operational delivery across the organisation, improve systems, processes, and workflows to create better experiences, manage key technology platforms and external suppliers, and coach a small team to deliver outstanding service. If you’re energised by continuous improvement, enjoy working with technology, and want genuine ownership of how an organisation runs, this is a rare opportunity.

Chief Technical Manager | Permanent, Part-time

Behind every safe motorsport event is a team of people committed to getting the technical details exactly right. As Chief Technical Manager, you’ll lead the ongoing evolution of New Zealand’s technical regulations and safety standards, work closely with the FIA and international motorsport bodies, and recruit, mentor, and support a nationwide network of technical volunteers and officials. This is a part-time leadership position with genuine purpose and impact — ideal for someone with significant motorsport technical experience who wants to help shape the sport’s future without a full-time commitment.

MotorSport Service Expert | Permanent, full-time (hybrid)

This role is the expert voice our members rely on day to day. You’ll process competitor, official, volunteer, and media licence applications; support customers navigating technical applications such as logbooks and authority cards; and provide practical technical advice to help licence holders get the most out of our systems. You’ll take real ownership of customer queries and see issues through to resolution. You may come from an automotive background — a qualified mechanic, automotive technician, or similar — and you’ll bring strong technical knowledge of the motorsport world alongside genuine care for the people in it.
